Overview

Data: It's Everywhere!

As the world is undergoing a data revolution, Emory is unleashing students' true potential through a groundbreaking curriculum that makes the liberal arts a powerful partner. The result will be to find yourself among the leaders in the data revolution upon graduation. No matter where life takes you, you must be able to ask the right questions, use the right data, draw the right conclusions, and use the right communication strategy.

Why you should study Data Science at Emory

QTM goes beyond data science degrees available elsewhere by teaching disciplinary theory and context alongside data science methods. We are the integration of Liberal Arts and Data Science.

Our unique curricular and extracurricular priorities reflect both industry need and student interest: communication skills enable our graduates to bridge the technical and nontechnical; experiential learning opportunities help students get a feel for real-world problems; professional development prepares students for careers in academia, industry, and beyond.

Students, capitalize on what you love and integrate it with data science skills. By becoming a QTM major, you will find yourself among the leaders in the data revolution upon graduation.

Our commitment to post-graduation preparation

QTM students have access to professionalization resources exclusively curated by the department for our students. These resources supplement learning inside the classroom with practical skills and guidance on career exploration - whether that career comes immediately after graduation or after an advanced degree.
